ENTRAPMENT | MULTIPLES | SPIRALS Winding upwards, gazing downwards, a solitary figure, dancer Erin O’Rourke journeys through an old labyrinthine staircase as a metaphor of her psyche. Moments of déjà vu and multiple selves emerge, achieved through editing, extending the dancer’s corporeal limitations as a tone of psychological entrapment emerged in a spiral structure. The initial creative development of Void was supported by a stART Grant from Metro Arts in 2020. Void was incorporated into Claire Marshall's folio of works for her Master of Fine Arts (Dance) at the Victorian College of the Arts, University of Melbourne (2019-2021).
