Working at QPAC: Piano Technician | Digital Stage

Putting a performance on stage usually involves a big team of people working behind the scenes. In this series, QPAC staff working in Programming, Technical Production, Marketing and Visitor Services talk about their roles and how they learnt the skills needed to perform them. Michael Ryan is QPAC's Piano Technician, a role which is equal parts artistry and craftsmanship. Whilst each piano has its own challenges in maintenance, the role presents a rewarding connection with musicians, helping them achieve the best sound for their performances.
