Carnival of the Animals whisks you away on a thrilling circus escapade inspired by Camille Saint-Saëns delightful salute to feathers, fur and fins. Bringing this classical music suite to life for a new generation of circus, music and animal lovers, Carnival of the Animals captivates with whimsical tales of creatures of the land and sea. Circa’s world-famous acrobats will be joined by eight exceptional young artists from Brisbane. Together they will fly, tumble, leap and spin their way through the wondrous worlds of the animal kingdom in this re-imagined production. Brisbane audiences will be the first in Australia to see this very special version of Circa’s acclaimed family favourite. Created by Yaron Lifschitz and the Circa Ensemble Performed by the Circa Ensemble and Young Artists A production by Circa and QPAC’s Out of the Box Festival. Circa acknowledges the assistance of the Australian Government through the Australia Council, its arts funding and advisory body and the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland.
